MARLA ANTINORO

Marla Antinoro was raised in Northwestern Montana. As a teenager she worked for the Youth Conservation Corp and helped to plant over 10,000 trees in national park lands.

As a child her parents always had huge gardens where they raised their own food using no pesticides, long before it was well known how damaging those pesticides were to the envronment. In the summer she worked on her aunts watermelon farm in Florida, or helped another aunt can home grown vegetables from her garden. You might say vegetables run in her blood.

Today Marla carries on her family tradition by teaching her own children about growing pesticide free vegetables, herbs, fruits and flowers as well as restoring the earth through composting.

She is an avid supporter of Cornucopia for many years and decided to put her beliefs and experiences to practice by volunteering on the Cornucopia board.

Marla spent several years working for NFL charities raising funds for such groups as the United Way and Shrines Childrens Hospital. She also lived in South Korea working for the Dept of Defense coordinating entertainment for the troops.

Currently a songwriter and a mother of three, she and her husband are developing a 34 acre ranch on Encinal Canyon road. They are using the latest technology of environmentallt safe products they learned about from Cornucopias many teaching classes. The Antinoros plan to one day have one of Cornucopias showcase homes.
